AI that does the boring parts. Not a chatbot on top.
Five places a model reads or answers for you — each one live today, each one checkable before you accept what it did — and one draft, the rota, that is arithmetic rather than a model.
A menu from a photograph
Photograph a printed menu, or hand over a PDF or a web page, and it comes back as items with prices and sections in the import sheet — where you check it before a single item is created. Reading is separate from writing on purpose.
A contract into the file
A photographed employment contract is read into the staff record — hours, rate, start date — and the document stays attached to what it filled in, so the claim is always one tap from its source.
An invoice into your prices
Photograph a supplier invoice and it comes back as lines with prices against your products, for you to accept line by line. A price nobody accepted changes nothing.
Allergens suggested, never confirmed for you
Ask, and each dish gets a per-allergen suggestion — contains or may contain, with the reason — read from its name and description. It stays a draft until a person confirms it; a guest is told "please ask" until then.
A rota from the demand
A suggested week drafted from availability, roles and forecast demand — plain arithmetic, no model involved. It arrives as a draft you edit, not a decision that already happened.
Ask your numbers a question
A question in plain English, on the dashboard and on the reports screen, answered from your own sales. The model never produces a number. It turns the question into a lookup from a fixed list of things it is allowed to ask for; we read the figures ourselves, scoped to the venues that account may see; and the model writes the sentences around figures it was handed. Every answer shows those figures underneath it, so you can check the sentence against them without leaving the page. A question it cannot answer — a rota, a supplier — is told so plainly rather than approximated.
What it will not do
Nothing here acts on its own. Every AI capability in HelchPOS produces a draft or an answer a person confirms — a menu import you approve, a rota you edit, a contract you check, an allergen you confirm. That is a design decision, not a limitation.
