VenuesPubs & bars

Late nights, young staff — rules that check themselves.

Bar staffing runs late, leans young and changes weekly. The rules that govern it are exactly the kind software should be checking for you.

Under-18 rules, applied at rota time

Young staff have hard limits on lateness and hours. The rota checks them as you build it — the sixteen-year-old glass collector cannot be saved into Friday’s close without the rota saying so.

Clock-ins that match the shift

A photo on every punch if you switch it on, on the till or their own phone. Hours worked land against hours rostered, so the timesheet at week’s end is arithmetic, not archaeology.

Cover for the Friday no-show

When the barback drops Friday night at Friday lunchtime, cover offers go out and volunteers are judged by role — the person who picks it up can actually work the bar.

Door and floor, costed per shift

Every shift shows its cost against what the hours are expected to take, so the quiet-Tuesday question — one on, or two? — is answered with numbers.
